(EAST LANSING, MI) - The Michigan State Spartans used a 20-0 run in the second half to pull away from number-15 Indiana, knocking off the Hoosiers 80-65 at the Breslin Center.
Keith Appling led the 17th-ranked Spartans with 25 points with Derrick Nix finishing with 14 points and Valparaiso transfer Brandon Wood adding 13.
Christian Watford scored a game-high 26 points to lead IU as the Hoosiers overcame an 18-point deficit in the first half to take a nine-point lead in the second before MSU went on its decisive run.
The Spartans have won twelve in a row to improve to 12-and-2. Indiana suffers its first loss of the season to fall to 12-and-1.
The Hoosiers are back home on Saturday as they host second-ranked Ohio State.
