(TORONTO, ON) - The Indiana Pacers take their 1-and-0 record on the road tonight as they face the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
The Pacers won their regular season opener on Monday night as they beat the Detroit Pistons 91-79 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The poor shooting that plagued the blue-and-gold in their two preseason losses was back against the Pistons, but Indiana overcame that by pulling down 18 offensive rebounds. Overall, the Pacers out-rebounded Detroit 53-to-40.
Roy Hibbert and Danny Granger led Indiana with 16 points apiece with Hibbert also pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds. Tyler Hansbrough and David West also had double-doubles for the Pacers.
The Raptors also won their opener, knocking off the Cavaliers 104-96 Monday night in Cleveland. Jose Calderon and Demar Derozan led Toronto with 15 points each with Calderon dishing out eleven assists in the victory.
