(NEWARK, NJ) - It wasn’t pretty, but Notre Dame picked up its second road win of the season, beating Seton Hall 55-42 at the Prudential Center in Newark.
The Fighting Irish shot just 35 percent from the field but held the pirates to 26 percent shooting.
Jerian Grant led the Irish with 15 points. Eric Atkins chipped in with 14 points and Jack Cooley finished with a double-double of 13 points and eleven rebounds as Notre Dame is now 2-7 in games outside South Bend this season.
Jordan Theodore led the Pirates with eleven points as Seton Hall suffers its first home loss of the season to drop to 15-5, 4-4 in Big East play.
The Irish move to 14-8, 5-3 in the conference.
They take on number-19 Connecticut Sunday afternoon in Hartford.
