(HARTFORD, CT) - Eric Atkins led a balanced Notre Dame attack as the Fighting Irish edged 19th-ranked Connecticut 50-48 in Hartford.
Jerian Grant hit three key free throws in the final 17 seconds and finished with eleven points with Scott Martin adding ten as the Irish ran their winning streak to three.
Jeremy Lamb led the Huskies with a game-high 16 points with Andre Drummond scoring 15 points and grabbing eleven rebounds as UConn loses its third game in a row to fall to 14-6, 4-4 in Big East play.
Notre Dame improves to 14-8, 6-3 in the conference.
The Irish are off until Saturday afternoon when Marquette visits Purcell Pavilion.
