Last updated on Thursday, January 12, 2012

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Danny Granger scored a season-high 24 points as the Indiana Pacers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 96-84 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Granger, who has been mired in a season-long shooting slump, hit nine of his 16 shots from the field.

The Pacers led 53-50 at halftime and broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Hawks 27-9 in the period.

Granger did most of his damage in the third, hitting five of his eight attempts for twelve points in the quarter.

Veteran forward Jeff Foster closed out the third quarter rally by hitting a three-pointer at the buzzer. It was the first time foster hit a three since December of 2008.

Roy Hibbert, David West and Lance Stephenson finished with twelve points apiece with Hibbert also grabbing eleven rebounds.

The twelve points is a career-high for Stephenson.

Josh Smith led Atlanta with 16 points with Joe Johnson finishing with 15 as the Hawks had their three-game winning streak halted.

The Pacers improve to 7-3 and are a perfect 4-0 at the Fieldhouse this season.

They travel to Toronto to face the Raptors on Friday night.
