(BLOOMINGTON, IN) - Indiana Football coach Kevin Wilson has hired Scott Littrell as the Hoosiers’ new Offensive Coordinator.
Littrell comes to IU from the University of Arizona, where he has been an assistant coach for three seasons.
He was promoted to the sole Offensive Coordinator for the Wildcats last season.
Arizona ranked third nationally in passing offense and 15th in total offense in 2011.
Littrell was a four-year letter winner at Oklahoma and was a captain on the Sooners' 2000 National Championship team.
Littrell replaces Rod Smith, who left IU to take a co-offensive coordinator job at Arizona for new Wildcats head coach Rich Rodriguez.
Current Indiana assistant Kevin Johns, who shared offensive coordinator duties with smith this past season, becomes assistant offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Hoosiers.
