(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - The number 25 Notre Dame Fighting Irish put their seven game winning streak on the line Saturday against the Villanova Wildcats.
Notre Dame is 10-3 in the Big East and sit two and a half games behind Syracuse for first place in the conference.
The Fighting Irish pulled away in the second half against Rutgers Wednesday night and beat the Scarlet Knights 71-53.
Notre Dame's winning streak began January 21st against number one Syracuse, and have since defeated two more ranked opponents in the Big East.
Villanova is historically one of the top teams in the conference but have struggled this season in putting together a 4-9 record and have lost four of their last five games.
This is the only meeting between the two teams unless they play in the Big East Tournament.
