(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Butler’s season came to an end as the Bulldogs fell to the Pitt Panthers 68-62 in overtime in the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational.
Talib Zanna led the Panthers with 15 points with JJ Moore adding 14 points. Tray Woodall and Lamar Patterson keyed the Pitt attack in overtime, scoring 14 of the Panthers' 16 points in the extra session. Patterson finished with 13 points and Woodall scored twelve.
Khyle Marshall led Butler with 22 points with Andrew Smith adding 19 as the Bulldogs finish the season at 22-and-15.
Pitt improves to 20-and-16 and moves on to the CBI finals where they will meet Washington State in a best-of-three series next week.
