(UNDATED) - Indianapolis Colts general manager Ryan Grigson, head coach Chuck Pagano and quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen spent Wednesday in Waco, Texas attending the pro day workout of Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III.
Those three will be in attendance this afternoon when Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck works out in Palo Alto, California.
The Colts have the top-overall pick when the NFL Draft gets underway on April 26th and are looking for the quarterback who will not only replace Peyton Manning under center but will become the face of the franchise. Luck is believed to have the edge over Griffin heading into this week's workouts.
They will have a tough act to follow in Manning, who signed with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday after being released by the Colts earlier this month. Manning led the Horseshoes to eleven playoff berths and a Super Bowl win in his 14 seasons in Indianapolis.
Another Free Agent Lineman Added To Colts O-Line
The Colts have added another offensive lineman, signing free-agent center Samson Satele.
The 6-3, 300-pound Satele is entering his sixth NFL season, spending his first two years in Miami and the last three with the Oakland Raiders. He his started 74 of the 78 games in which he has appeared.
Satele signs four days after being arrested for disorderly conduct in Hawaii. He is scheduled to appear in court in Hawaii next month.
