Former Butler Player Turns To Coaching

Last updated on Thursday, March 29, 2012

(BROWNSBURG) - Former Butler University point guard Ronald Nored has a new job.

Nored will take over as head boys basketball coach at Brownsburg High School after he graduates from Butler in May. He will also become an academic coach at Brownsburg.

Nored, who was a key member of Butler's back-to-back NCAA Tournament runner-up teams, replaces Josh Kendrick who resigned after an 8-and-14 season. Brownsburg has had three-consecutive losing seasons since Kendrick coached the Bulldogs to the 2008 Class 4-A state championship.

Nored just completed his playing career at Butler last week. He is one of two Butler players to surpass 400 in career points, assists and rebounds. He is a two-time Horizon League defensive player of the year and was named academic all-conference twice. He has two years experience coaching summer travel basketball.
