(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Atlanta Hawks won their third game in a row as they defeated the Indiana Pacers 101-96 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Atlanta got off to a quick start, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter. They would lead by as many as 16 early in the second before the blue-and-gold cut the deficit to four and trailed 58-54 at intermission.
The Pacers took their only lead of the game when David West's lay in with 3:22 left in the third quarter put Indiana up 71-69. Marvin Williams followed West's basket with a three-pointer that gave Atlanta the lead for good.
Josh Smith led the Hawks with 27 points with Jannero Pargo adding 16 off the bench.
West scored a season-high 24 points to lead Indiana with Danny Granger finishing with 19 as the pacers drop their second game in a row.
Indiana falls to 23-and-14 and has three days off before returning to action Saturday night when they take on the heat in Miami.
