(INDIANAPOLIS) - The NFL released its regular season schedule on Tuesday and as expected, the Indianapolis Colts will be getting far less prime time exposure in 2012.
Indianapolis will play one Thursday night game with the remaining 15 contests starting at one o'clock Eastern Time on Sunday afternoons.
The Colts open the regular season on Sunday, September 9th at Chicago against the Bears. The Horseshoes will then play consecutive home games against Minnesota, Jacksonville and Green Bay with the bye week coming after the Jacksonville game the week of September 30th.
The Thursday night game will be on the road at Jacksonville on November 8th. The regular season concludes on December 30th at home against the Houston Texans.
The league also finalized the dates and times for the preseason games. The Colts open the preseason on Sunday, August 12th at home against the St. Louis Rams. They travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers in a prime time preseason game on Sunday, August 19th. The final road preseason game is at Washington on Saturday, August 25th.
The Horseshoes conclude the preseason on Thursday, August 30th when they take on Cincinnati at Lucas Oil Stadium.
