(INDIANAPOLIS) - Butler, Indiana, Notre Dame and Purdue have agreed to a two-year extension of the Crossroads Classic.
Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis will remain the host for the college basketball games in 2013 and 2014.
The original contract was a two-year agreement culminating with this year's event on December 17th.
The first Crossroads Classic was held last December with Indiana beating Notre Dame and Butler knocking off Purdue.
This December, the opponents will change with IU taking on the Bulldogs and the Fighting Irish facing the Boilermakers. Indiana will serve as the host school for this year's Classic.
The Crossroad Classic filled the void left at The Fieldhouse when the John R. Wooden Tradition was discontinued following the 2009 event.
