(INDIANAPOLIS) - The field is full for the 96th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Nine drivers filled the final three rows during yesterday's final day of Time Trials at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Sebastien Bourdais was the fastest of the Day-Two qualifiers with a four-lap average of 223.760 miles per hour. Wade Cunningham and Oriol Servia complete Row Nine with Ed Carpenter, Mike Conway and Katherine Legge making up Row Ten and Bryan Clauson, Simona De Silvestro and Jean Alesi in Row Eleven. Alesi's speed of 210.094 is almost 4.3 miles an hour slower than De Silvestro's.
There was one incident of wall contact at the Speedway on Sunday. Charlie Kimball was running in traffic during practice when the car spun at the apex of Turn One and smacked the outside SAFER Barrier. Kimball was not injured and while there was significant damage to the car, the Andretti Autosport team is expected to have the car ready for Carb Day on Friday. Kimball is scheduled to start from the middle of Row Five on Race Day.
