(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University basketball coach Tom Crean has hired Kenny Johnson as an assistant coach for the Hoosiers.
The Oxon Hill, Maryland native joins the IU program after spending last season as an assistant coach at Towson.
His previous experience includes stints as a high school head coach in Fairfax, Virginia and as vice president and assistant director of basketball operations with a Washington, DC AAU team. Current Indiana players Maurice Creek and Victor Oladipo were part of Johnson's AAU program.
He replaces Bernie Selzer, who was named head coach at Samford University last month.
