(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel will meet with the media this morning to go over the just concluded season.
Vogel led the Pacers to the fifth-best record in the NBA in his first full season as head coach. The Blue-and-Gold reached the Eastern Conference Semifinals before losing to the Miami Heat in six games last week.
On Wednesday, Team President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird will hold his end of season news conference. Bird has a year-to-year agreement with Pacers owner Herb Simon and his future has been the subject of discussion much of the season. Bird has spent much of the season shooting down rumors that he will step down.
Simon tells The Indianapolis Star that he will meet with Bird shortly. Simon has said that Bird can stay as long as he wants. If Bird does decide to step down, Simon would like to stay with the organization in some capacity.
Bird capped the rebuilding of the franchise by being named NBA executive of the year this season.
