(UNDATED) - Purdue receiver Antavian Edison was arrested early Sunday morning in his hometown of Fort Meyers, Florida and charged with felony suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon.
According to the Fort Meyers News-Press, Edison was released Sunday morning on 1,500-dollars bond.
Edison has started the past two seasons for the Boilermakers and led the team with 584 receiving yards and was second with 44 catches in 2011. He had five touchdowns last season, three receiving and two rushing. Purdue officials are not commenting on Edison's status as they gather details on the situation.
