(UNDATED) - IndyCar has approved IndyCar Series engine supplier Lotus’ request to modify multiple parts on its V-6 engine.
Lotus is scheduled to introduce one modification at a test at Mid-Ohio next week with subsequent modifications to be ready for the Honda Indy Toronto on July 8th.
Lotus has lagged far behind the IndyCar Series' other two suppliers - Chevrolet and Honda.
HVM Racing with driver Simona De Silvestro is the only team still using the Lotus engine. Dreyer and Reinbold Racing and Dragon Racing started the season with Lotus engines but dropped them - DRR in April and Dragon in May.
