(Long Pond, PA) - Joey Logano is the first driver to win a NASCAR Sprint Cup race from the pole this season as he took Sunday’s Pocono 400.
The 22-year-old Logano got past 53-year-old Mark Martin with four laps remaining to claim his second Sprint Cup win, his first since 2009.
Columbus, Indiana's Tony Stewart finished third with Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin rounding out the top five. Among the other Indiana drivers, Ryan Newman finished twelfth, Jeff Gordon was 19th and Tony Raines came in 32nd.
Greg Biffle, who has held the Sprint Cup points lead for almost the entire season, finished 24th and dropped to third in the driver standings behind Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Junior. Kenseth finished seventh while Earnhardt finished eighth yesterday.
