(Indianapolis, IN) - IUPUI’s Alex Young, Xavier guard Tu Holloway and Brownsburg native Julian Mavunga are among the six players scheduled to work out for the Indiana Pacers this morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Also scheduled to work out today are Oakland University guard Reggie Hamilton, Missouri forward Ricardo Ratliffe and Georgetown forward Hollis Thompson.
Young is an Indianapolis native who is third on the Jaguars' all-time scoring list. He can play shooting guard and small forward and is looking to become just the second IUPUI player to be selected in the N-B-A draft, joining current Pacer George Hill.
Holloway is a top prospect at point guard. He is sixth on the Musketeers' all-time scoring list but is trying to live down his remarks in the wake of the Xavier - Cincinnati brawl last December.
Mavunga was a member of Brownsburg's state championship team in 2008, teaming with former Butler and current Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward. He was the leading scorer and rebounder in the Mid-American Conference this past season, averaging 16.4 points and nine boards per contest for the Miami Redhawks.
The Pacers hold the 26th overall pick in the June 28th draft.
