(UNDATED) - The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Kentucky Speedway this weekend.
Two practice sessions are scheduled for Friday with qualifying getting underway late Friday afternoon. The race is scheduled for Saturday night.
Kyle Busch is the defending race winner.
Matt Kenseth enters the weekend as the Sprint Cup points leader on the heels of his announcement this week that he will leave Roush Fenway Racing at the end of the season. It has been rumored that Kenseth will be headed to Joe Gibbs Racing for 2013. Nationwide Series driver Ricky Stenhouse Junior will take Kenseth's seat in the number-17 Roush Fenway car next season.
Including Saturday night's race, ten events remain before the start of the Chase for the Sprint Cup. If the Chase started today, Kenseth, Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Junior, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Junior and Brad Keselowski would earn berths by being in the top ten in the points standings. Kyle Busch and Ryan Newman would earn the two wild card berths.
