(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have called a news conference for late this morning. The team is expected to detail changes in the front office.
Team president of basketball operations Larry Bird reportedly will announce his departure.
Reports have former team CEO Donnie Walsh returning to the team, possibly as Bird's replacement, and director of player personnel Kevin Pritchard being elevated to general manager.
The only official word from the Pacers regarding the reported shakeup is a news release confirming that general manager David Morway has resigned.
Despite the drama in the front office, the Pacers still have to get ready for tomorrow night's NBA Draft. The Blue-and-Gold have invited two more prospects to Bankers Life Fieldhouse this morning for workouts.
University of Kentucky point guard Marquis Teague is an Indianapolis native who left the Wildcats after winning a National Championship as a true freshman. The other player working out today is Marquette guard Darius Johnson-Odom. Johnson-Odom averaged 18 points per game for the Golden Eagles last season.
