(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have more players coming in for pre-draft workouts this morning at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The six who are scheduled to work out are Memphis shooting guard Will Barton, Old Dominion swingman Kent Bazemore, Marquette small forward Jae Crowder, Kentucky forward Darius Miller, Texas A-and-M forward Khris Middleton and Vanderbilt forward Jeffrey Taylor. All are in the six-foot-five to six-foot-eight height range.
It will be the second group to work out at the Fieldhouse as the Pacers gear up for the June 28th draft. They hold the 26th overall pick in the first round. They traded away their second-round pick to acquire guard Leandro Barbosa from Toronto last March.
Shaw meets with Bobcats
Pacers Associate Head Coach Brian Shaw is expected to meet with Michael Jordan today to discuss the head coaching vacancy with the Charlotte Bobcats.
ESPN reported Tuesday that the Bobcats have narrowed their list of candidates to three - Shaw, former Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan and Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Quin Snyder. All three have gone through initial interviews with Bobcats executives Rod Higgins and Rich Cho.
Shaw will be the first to interview with Jordan. He was a candidate to succeed Phil Jackson as head coach of the Lakers last season but was passed over in favor of Mike Brown. He was quickly hired by Frank Vogel as Indiana's top assistant last summer.
Shaw has also been mentioned as a possible successor to Stan Van Gundy in Orlando.
