(Indianapolis, IN) - Indiana Pacers associate head coach Brian Shaw will return to the Blue and Gold for the upcoming season.
The Oregonian reported Wednesday that Shaw is no longer a candidate for the Portland Trail Blazers vacancy and Shaw has informed Pacers head coach Frank Vogel that he will return for a second season in Indiana.
Shaw reportedly has interviewed for head coaching jobs in Charlotte, Orlando and Portland this offseason.
With Shaw's return, the Pacers will have their coaching staff and their starting five returning to build off last season's 42-24 effort.
Shaw came to the Pacers in the summer of 2011 after being passed over to succeed Phil Jackson as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Shaw had spent eight seasons as Jackson's assistant in LA before coming to Indiana.
