(Edmonton, Alberta) - Helio Castroneves held off Takuma Sato to win the Edmonton Indy.
The race at Edmonton's City Centre Airport was clean with no caution periods during the entire 75-lap event. Will Power finished third with Graham Rahal and Alex Tagliani rounding out the top five.
Tagliani started fourth but passed Dario Franchitti for the lead on the first lap and led a race-high 49 laps.
Ryan Hunter-Reay, who won the pole but started eleventh thanks to an unapproved engine change, finished seventh and remains the series' points leader. Castroneves moves to second in points, 23 behind Hunter-Reay.
The win is the 27th of Castroneves' career and his second this season.
