(Cincinnati, OH) Cincinnati’s ten-game winning streak is over as the Reds fell to the San Diego Padres 11-5.
Will Venable hit a three-run triple and drove in four runs while Carlos Quentin hit a solo home run and finished with three runs batted in.
Former Red Edinson Volquez returned and gave up five runs over five innings, but that was good enough to get the win for San Diego as Volquez evens his record at 7-7.
Ryan Ludwick drove in two runs for Cincinnati with Drew Stubbs and Jay Bruce adding solo homers.
Starter Mike Leake did not make it out of the second inning, giving up five runs in falling to 4-7.
