(Arlington, TX) - Scott Feldman threw eight shutout innings as the Texas Rangers blanked the Chicago White Sox 2-0 to avoid a three-game series sweep.
Feldman allowed seven hits, walked none and struck out five in improving to 5-6 on the year.
The Rangers scored their first run in the third inning on an error by White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez.
Texas made it 2-0 in the fifth when Nelson Cruz scored on Michael Young's groundout.
Gavin Floyd allowed one earned run over six and two-thirds innings to get the loss and fall to 8-9.
Chicago had a five-game winning streak halted.
