(St. Louis, MO) - Rafael Furcal’s RBI single in the bottom of the twelfth inning gave the St. Louis Cardinals a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The game was a pitchers' duel between St. Louis' Kyle Lohse and LA's Aaron Harang, with each starter allowing two earned runs before departing.
Hanley Ramirez, making his Dodger debut after being acquired in a trade from Miami, tripled and scored the first run of the game in the second and tied the game in the top of the sixth with an RBI single.
That was it until the twelfth when Lance Berkman reached on a one-out walk.
After Skip Schumaker struck out, pinch runner Joe Kelly advanced to second on Matt Carpenter's single with Kelly scoring on Furcal's game-winning hit.
