(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers reportedly have acquired big man Ian Mahinmi in a sign-and-trade deal from the Dallas Mavericks.
The Indianapolis Star reports that the Pacers will send guard Darren Collison and swingman Dahntay Jones to the Mavs.
Mahinmi is a 6-11, 230-pounder who has played four years NBA with the Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs He started twelve games for Dallas last season, averaging almost six points and five rebounds per contest.
The Star also reports that the Pacers are expected to offer a three-year, ten-million-dollar deal to unrestricted free agent swingman Gerald Green.
Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Pacers are pursuing a sign-and-trade involving Charlotte Bobcats restricted free agent point guard DJ Augustin.
Summer League Play Continues
The Pacers' summer league team suffered its first loss, falling to the Boston Celtics 85-77 in Orlando.
Rookie Jared Sullinger led six Celtics in double figures with 16 points with former Purdue star E'Twaun Moore finishing with 15. Lance Stephenson scored a game-high 19 points for Indiana with first-round pick Miles Plumlee adding 18.
The Celtics are 3-and-0 in the Orlando summer pro league while the Pacers fall to 2-and-1.
Indiana takes on the Utah Jazz this afternoon before wrapping up summer league play on Friday afternoon against the Brooklyn Nets.
