(Indianapolis, IN) - Peyton Manning’s successor has finally signed a contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
It was reported that Andrew Luck will make 22-million dollars over four seasons and is scheduled to earn a 14.5 million dollar signing bonus. All the money is guaranteed and allows the Colts an optional fifth season.
The team confirmed yesterday that Luck had signed the deal but would not immediately disclose the numbers.
Luck will make slightly more than Robert Griffin the Third, who signed his rookie contract with the Washington Redskins on Wednesday. Both quarterbacks were highly regarded entering the 2012 draft. Luck was selected first overall by the Colts and the Redskins traded-up to select RG3 with the second pick.
The Stanford prodigy is now cleared to participate in training camp when it begins next weekend. Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen are the only draft picks that haven't been signed by the Colts.
