(Phoenix, AZ) - Bronson Arroyo did the job with his arm and his bat as the Cincinnati Reds edged the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2.
Arroyo went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits to improve to 11-7.
Arroyo came to the plate in the top of the sixth with the score tied 2-2 and hit a go-ahead solo home run off Arizona starter Tyler Skaggs.
Brandon Phillips had an RBI double for Cincinnati as the Reds remain six games ahead of St. Louis in the NL Central.
Justin Upton hit a solo homer and an RBI single to account for the D-Backs' offense. Skaggs takes the loss to drop to 1-1.
