(Chicago, IL) - The Milwaukee Brewers blew open a close game by scoring nine runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Chicago Cubs 15-4.
Ryan Braun collected four hits, including a three-run home run, and drove in five while Aramis Ramirez hit a pair of homers and drove in four for Milwaukee.
Carlos Gomez and Corey Hart added solo shots in the ninth as infielder Joe Mather came on to pitch and gave up an RBI single before getting pitcher Livan Hernandez to ground out and end the inning.
Brett Jackson hit a solo homer for the Cubs with Alfonso Soriano hitting an RBI double and Anthony Rizzo and Starlin Castro adding run-scoring singles.
