(Sonoma, CA) - Ryan Briscoe beat Penske Racing teammate Will Power to the finish line by less than half a second to collect the win at the GoPro Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma.
Briscoe and Power led all but one lap in the race with Briscoe collecting his first win of the season.
Power held the lead before the final round of pit stops, but Briscoe came out of the pits first on Lap 65.
Dario Franchitti finished third with Rubens Barrichello and Graham Rahal rounding out the top five.
With his second-place finish, Power maintains the points lead in the IZOD IndyCar Series, extending his advantage over Ryan Hunter-Reay to 36.
Hunter-Reay, who led that lone lap not paced by Briscoe or Power, finished 18th after being involved in an accident with Alex Tagliani with eleven laps remaining.
Power also wraps up his third-straight Mario Andretti Road Course championship.
Two races remain in the season with the IndyCar Series racing at Baltimore this Sunday. The season finale is September 15th at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
