Colts Continue To Prepare For Sunday's Preseason Opener

Last updated on Monday, August 6, 2012

(Anderson, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will stick to their normal training camp schedule today with a walk-through this morning followed by an open practice this afternoon.

Later this week, they will begin preparing for Sunday's preseason opener with the St. Louis Rams at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Former Purdue cornerback Brandon King had a good workout, intercepting a pair of passes from rookie quarterback Chandler Harnish.

Andrew Luck threw several incompletions, but had five touchdown passes and no interceptions during yesterday afternoon's session.

Wide receiver Donnie Avery left yesterday afternoon's practice with a thigh injury. Colts head coach Chuck Pagano says the injury is not serious.

Safety Tom Zbikowski and cornerback Justin King were held out of practice Sunday due to injury. Pagano expects Zbikowski to participate today.

Linebacker AJ Edds and offensive lineman Ben Ijalana have cleared waivers.

They are now on the Colts' Injured Reserve list. Both suffered season-ending ACL tears to their left knees during the first practice of training camp a week ago Sunday.
