(St. Louis, MO) - David Freese and Jon Jay drove in two runs apiece as the St. Louis Cardinals won their fourth game in a row, defeating the San Francisco Giants 8-2.
Carlos Beltran added a solo home run, his 26th of the season, to back Redbirds starter Jake Westbrook.
Westbrook went six innings allowing two runs on seven hits in moving to 11-8 on the season.
Westbrook gave up solo homers to Angel Pagan and Buster Posey.
Giants starter Matt Cain allowed five runs to take the loss, falling to 10-5 as San Francisco has a three-game winning streak come to an end.
