(Cincinnati, OH) - Matt Holliday drove in four runs and Allen Craig knocked in three as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Cincinnati Reds 8-2 to cut their deficit in the NL Central.
Holliday fell a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, collecting four hits on the day.
Craig hit a two-run home run off Reds starter Homer Bailey, who takes the loss to fall to 10-9.
St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright went five and two-thirds innings, giving up RBI singles to Chris Heisey and Ryan Ludwick in improving to 13-10 on the season.
The Cardinals took two of three in the series to move to six games behind Cincinnati in the Central Division.
