(St. Louis, MO) Kyle Lohse and three relievers combined on a six-hit shutout as the St. Louis Cardinals blanked the Milwaukee Brewers 3-0 to complete a three-game series sweep.
Lohse went six innings, allowing four hits as he moves to 12-2. Daniel Descalso put the Redbirds on the scoreboard with an RBI triple in the second inning.
Allen Craig hit a run-scoring double in the seventh and David Freese added an RBI single in the eighth.
Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada allowed a run on seven hits in his six innings of work to take the loss and drop to 0-5 on the season.
