(Philadelphia, PA) - Juan Pierre beat out an infield single allowing Jimmy Rollins to score the winning run as the Philadelphia Phillies got past the St. Louis Cardinals 8-7 in eleven innings.
St. Louis led 7-4 in the eighth when Erik Kratz hit a game-tying three-run home run off Cardinals reliever Mitchell Boggs.
Matt Carpenter drove in three runs for the Redbirds with Jon Jay adding a pair of RBI.
Chase Utley had a two-run triple and Ryan Howard hit a solo homer for the Phillies, who took two of three in the series.
