(Chicago, IL) - Chris Vostad picked up his first win in a Chicago uniform as the Cubs blanked the Colorado Rockies 5-0 in a game shortened to eight innings by rain.
Volstad had lost his first nine decisions as a Cub before throwing six and two-thirds innings of three-hit ball to move to 1-9.
Darwin Barney drove in Chicago's first two runs with Joe Mather adding a sacrifice fly and David DeJusus hitting an RBI single.
Colorado starter Jhoulys Chacin allowed one run in his five innings of work to get the loss and drop to 1-4.
