(Cincinnati, OH) - Jay Bruce hit a two-run home run in the sixth as the Cincinnati Reds powered their way past the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1.
Mat Latos went seven innings, giving up a run on four hits. He walked Dominic Brown with the bases loaded in the fourth as the Phillies took a 1-0 lead.
Philadelphia starter Kyle Kendrick was cruising with a shutout until the sixth when he gave up a two-out single to Ryan Ludwick and Bruce followed with his 31st homer of the year.
Jonathan Broxton threw a perfect eighth and Aroldis Chapman gave up a walk in the ninth before retiring the side to pick up his 35th save.
