(Indianapolis, IN) - Butler has dismissed junior guard Chrishawn Hopkins from the basketball team for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Head coach Brad Stevens announced Hopkins' dismissal on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Manual High school in Indianapolis was to be one of four starters returning to the Bulldogs this fall.
He played in all 37 of Butler's games last season, starting 24 and averaging nine points per game.
