(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts will enjoy a long weekend off before resuming practice Monday in preparation for the Green Bay Packers.
The Colts practiced yesterday for the final time this week and join the Pittsburgh Steelers on the week four bye.
The additional time off will allow several key players to heal injuries and return to the lineup October 7th.
Pat Angerer has been absent from the starting inside linebacker position after breaking his foot in the preseason opener against the Rams.
Angerer was the Colts leading tackler in 2011 and should return against the Packers.
Outside linebacker Dwight Freeney sprained his ankle during the Colts week two contest against the Bears and continues to be day-to-day.
Corners Vontae Davis and Justin King will continue to be monitored and are listed as "week-to-week" by Head Coach Chuck Pagano.
The offensive line will benefit from the return of center Samson Satele and guard Joe Reitz.
Satele has exited the last two games with a knee injury and Reitz has missed the entire regular season, also with a knee injury.
The two teams have met seven times since the Colts relocated to Indianapolis.
The Packers have a 4-3 series advantage, and beat the Colts during their most recent contest in 2008.
