(St. Louis, MO) - Allen Craig’s RBI single in the bottom of the tenth inning gave St. Louis a 5-4 win over the Milwaukee Brewers as the Cardinals avoid being swept at home.
Matt Holliday hit a two-run home run and Carlos Beltran followed with a solo shot in the first inning as the Redbirds jumped out to a 3-0 lead.
The Cardinals took a 4-2 lead to the bottom of the ninth when Norichika Aoki tied the game with a two-run blast off St. Louis closer Jason Motte.
In the tenth, Matt Carpenter hit a one-out single, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on Craig's single.
