(Washington, DC) - The Washington Nationals hit six home runs en route to an 11-5 win over the Chicago Cubs.
Ian Desmond and Tyler Moore hit two-run shots with Desmond driving in four runs.
Adam LaRoche hit a pair of solo homers with Jesus Flores and Ryan Zimmerman adding solo shots. Edwin Jackson was the beneficiary of the offensive outburst.
Jackson gave up four runs over five and two-thirds innings in evening his record at 9-9.
Alfonso Soriano hit a solo homer and drove in three for the Cubs with Starlin Castro collecting a pair of runs batted in.
Starter Chris Rusin lasted just one inning, giving up five runs on eight hits to drop to 0-2.
