(Cincinnati, OH) - The Philadelphia Phillies got a pair of home runs off Cincinnati ace Johnny Cueto in beating the Reds 4-2.
Cincinnati took a 1-0 lead in the second on a home run by Jay Bruce off Phillies starter Tyler Cloyd.
The rookie would settle down from there, allowing the lone run on four hits in his seven innings of work while striking out nine.
Philadelphia got to Cueto in the fifth with Jimmy Rollins giving the Phillies the lead for good with a three-run shot.
John Mayberry Junior added a solo homer off Cueto in the sixth. Bruce capped the scoring with an RBI single in the ninth.
Cloyd picks up his first Major League win, evening his record at 1-1. Cueto gives up four runs on eight hits over seven innings to fall to 17-7.
