(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago White Sox scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error as they edged the Detroit Tigers 5-4 in the makeup of a game rained out last Thursday night.
The win gives the Sox a three-game lead over the Tigers in the AL Central.
Detroit lead 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth when starter Doug Fister hit Gordon Beckham with a pitch with the bases loaded and Dewayne Wise followed with a two-run single to tie the game.
Delmon Young put the Tigers back on top with an RBI single in the top of the fifth, but in the bottom half, Omar Infante made an error trying to turn a double play with Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko scoring the tying and go-ahead runs.
Chicago reliever Nate Jones was credited with the win as he improves to 8-0. Fister falls to 9-9.
