(Chicago, IL) - Mike Moustakas and Jeff Francoeur hit RBI singles in the top of the tenth as the Kansas City Royals edged the Chicago White Sox 2-1 in extra innings.
The game was scoreless at the end of nine innings before Kansas City drew first blood with the RBI singles off White Sox reliever Brett Myers.
In the bottom of the tenth, Gordon Beckham hit an RBI double with one out, but Royals closer Greg Holland struck out Alejandro De Aza and Rey Olmedo to end the game.
Despite the loss, the Sox maintain their two-game lead over Detroit atop the AL Central.
The Tigers were swept in Anaheim by the Angels over the weekend.
