(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts added depth on the defensive line by promoting a couple of players to the 53 man roster.
Nose tackle Antion Dixon and defensive end Clifton Geathers will likely see minutes against the Jets if Fili Moala and Martin Tevaseu are unable to play because of injuries.
Dixon was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles in late August after recording 49 tackles in 35 games, and Geathers is a journeyman that played five games for the Dallas Cowboys in 2011.
The team also elevated linebacker Jerry Brown to the active roster in case Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney are unable to play against the Jets Sunday.
Mathis was injured late against the Packers and Freeney continues to recover from a high ankle sprain.
The Colts also waived nickleback Justin King, who missed Sunday's game after injuring his leg against Jacksonville in week three.
The 2-2 Colts travel to the Meadowlands Sunday to take on the 2-3 New York Jets.
Kickoff is set for 1:00.
