(Charlotte, NC) - Dale Earnhardt Junior has been ruled out for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Charlotte Motor Speedway after suffering a concussion during a testing session at Kansas Speedway in late August.
Junior was examined after crashing Sunday on the final lap at Talladega Superspeedway and was informed by a neurologist that he'll miss the next two races.
Drivers will practice at the 1-point-5 mile quad-oval today and race the Bank of America 500 Saturday.
Brad Keselowski is the points leader, followed by Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin.
Jeff Gordon is sixth in points, Tony Stewart seventh, and Earnhardt Junior is eleventh.
