(Uncasville, CT) - The Indiana Fever will play for the WNBA title after beating the Connecticut Sun in game three of the Eastern Conference Finals, 87-71 in Uncasville.
The series win gives Indiana their second crack at the WNBA championship in four years, despite losing Katie Douglas five minutes into the game.
The four time all-star was taken to a hospital for X-rays after she crumbled on her right ankle following a missed jumper.
Her status for the upcoming best-of-five series against the Minnesota Lynx is unknown.
The bench rallied to score 32 points and hit five of six three pointers, and 2011 MVP Tamkia Catchings was sublime in a dominating 22 point, 13 rebound performance.
Reigning MVP Tina Charles had 18 points and ten rebounds for the Sun.
The Fever and Lynx begin their championship series with game one Sunday at the Target Center. Tipoff is 8:00.
